Back in the days of the early 1970's the native people were happy in there endeavors as hunters and gatherers.  Then out of nowhere the Alaska Government in their pursuit of oil were eager to take control of Aboriginal lands that belonged to the Alaska Native people for centuries old.  There had to be a compromise, there had to be a vision, somebody had to step up to the plate, there had to be a voice..........

Today, many native people are disconnected to the corporations that emerged out of the 1971 Alaska Native Settlement Claims Act.  ANSCA Corporations are starting to thrive due to 8(a) no bid contracting through the Federal Government, a lot of revenue is being produced, due to the disconnect, shareholders whom are the owners of these corporations no little about what is taking place, where the money is going, what questions should they ask, how to read financial reports, how to effectively communicate with their corporations board of directors, how to steer a shareholder agenda.  There is a disconnect that makes it nearly impossible for a majority to mitigate through the merky waters of the unknown. Long gone are the days of hunting and gathering, in this new world, revenue is needed for everyday living, heating, eating, electricity etc.  Revenue is needed to send our children to further their educations. ANSCA Corporations represent a means to an end for many shareholders but a shareholder agenda needs to be put in place and tools to create this agenda must be introduced and made available.  In unknown territory, in a foreign lands of the business world, the ANSCA shareholders are no longer in the dark, no longer wading through the unknown, there are tools available, education at their fingertips, there is a voice...... The Shareholder Voice.
