MemberGate Infinity now integrate's with the U.K. Sagepay token payment option.
Membership subscriptions and shopping cart payments can be processed through your MemberGate site using Sagepay's token system as a payment gateway. This allows sites to use the highest level of data security when it comes to credit card information that is no longer stored in your site's database.
The use of a token system option reduces the risk involved as credit card information is not stored on your site. It also increases the ability to consistently pass the PCI testing.
To sign up for Sagepay, please visit their information and sign up page. Be certain to add the token system as part of your account features.
Existing Sage Pay Users
If you are already using Sagepay as a payment gateway, it may be necessary to update your account so you use their Payment Token System.
1. Once the software is upgraded, from your control panel under 'Master Settings' choose 'Payment Gateway'
2. From the 'Payment Gateway' field choose 'Sagepay Token System' from the drop down menu
As members in recurring plans automatically renew their subscription, their information will be updated from being stored on your site to be stored in the payment gateway's token system.
Other Payment Gateways with Token Systems
Please note that if your business is in the United Kingdom, Sagepay is not the only option for a Payment Gateway company. It is also possible to integrate with Stripe
Stripe also uses a token system and their PCIDSS checks are considerably more user friendly.
Before switching to a token gateway, we advise to thoroughly check between your choices as once the token system is in place, user data is stored at that gateway. Should you choose at a later date to switch to another token gateway, all of your subscribers would have to enter in their credit card details to manually renew their accounts to save the data in the new gateway's system.
