Board and committees
A board and committees page for associations, societies and member-led organizations. It introduces the officers with photos and short bios, lists the other directors, explains what each committee is responsible for, and invites members to volunteer or stand for election. The sample is written for a bookkeepers' association with an elected board and five standing committees. Swap in your own people and photos, adjust the committee descriptions, and point the volunteer button at your own form or contact page.
Our governance
Run by members, for members
Lakeshore Association of Bookkeepers is governed by a volunteer board of nine directors, elected by the membership for staggered three-year terms. The board sets our direction and budget; our committees do the hands-on work of running education, chapters and events.
Every director and committee chair is a practicing bookkeeper. Elections are held each spring at the annual meeting, and any member in good standing can stand.
