Mastermind application

An application page for masterminds, peer advisory groups and any membership that admits people by application rather than open sign-up. It explains exactly who the group is for, sets honest expectations about who it is not for, walks through the admissions process step by step and collects the application with your own form. Real numbers and a member quote build trust before the form. Rewrite the criteria for your own members, adjust the steps to match how you review applications, and choose your application form when you import it.

Applications open for the spring 2027 groups

A room full of owners who get it

Summit Founders Circle is a peer community for owners of businesses with 5 to 50 staff. We keep each group small and well matched, so we admit members by application.

Next review date: February 12, 2027. Applications take about 15 minutes.

A good fit

Who it's for

  • You own or co-own a business with 5 to 50 employees
  • You have been in business for at least two years
  • Your annual revenue is between $500,000 and $15 million
  • You can attend a 3-hour group meeting once a month
  • You are willing to share real numbers and real problems with peers
  • You want to work on the business, not just in it

Honestly

Who it isn't for

  • Pre-launch founders. We love early-stage energy, but our groups talk payroll, managers and margins. Our free Founders Breakfast is a better start.

  • Anyone looking for leads. Summit Founders Circle is not a networking club. Pitching other members is the quickest way to lose your seat.

  • Owners who want a consultant. Your group will ask hard questions and share what worked for them. They won't do the work for you.

  • Direct competitors. We never place two businesses that compete for the same customers in the same group.

Four steps, about three weeks

How admission works

Every application is read by a person, and every applicant hears back, whatever the answer.

1. Apply online

Tell us about your business, your team and what you want help with this year. There is no fee to apply.

2. A 30-minute call

If it looks like a fit, Jordan or a group chair calls you to talk through your goals and answer your questions.

3. Group matching

We look for a group with owners at a similar stage, in different industries, and no competitors of yours.

4. Visit, then decide

You sit in on one meeting as a guest. If you and the group both say yes, you get your welcome pack and join.

From the founder

Why we keep the door narrow

I ran a 30-person landscaping company in Austin for eleven years. The loneliest part was never the work. It was having nobody to ask whether I was about to make a terrible hiring decision, or whether everyone else's margins were as thin as mine.

I started Summit Founders Circle in 2019 with six owners around my kitchen table. What made that group work was trust: everyone was at a similar stage, nobody was selling, and what was said in the room stayed there. The application process exists to protect exactly that.

Jordan Ellis, Founder

I applied expecting a sales call. Instead Jordan spent half an hour asking about my service manager problem. My group solved it at my second meeting.

Your application

Be as candid as you can. The more we know, the better we can match you with a group, and nothing you share leaves the admissions team.

We review applications every two weeks and reply within five business days of each review.

Questions about applying

How much does membership cost?

Membership is $650 a month or $6,900 a year, which includes your monthly group, every expert workshop and the resource vault. The annual retreat is a separate ticket at a member rate. We share full details on your call.

Where do the groups meet?

Most groups meet in person in Austin on a set weekday morning each month. Two virtual groups meet online for owners elsewhere in Texas and beyond.

What if I'm not accepted?

We'll tell you why and, where it helps, suggest a better fit or a time to reapply. Many members were not ready on their first application and joined a year later.

Can my business partner join too?

Co-owners can share one membership and alternate meetings, or each join a different group. Ask us on your call.

Is everything said in the group confidential?

Yes. Every member signs our code of conduct and confidentiality agreement before their first meeting, and it is taken seriously.

Running a business shouldn't be a solo sport

Applications for the spring groups close February 12, 2027. It costs nothing to apply.
