Cookie policy

A cookie policy for a membership site, written so visitors can actually follow it. It explains what cookies are, sets out each type in a table (essential, preferences, analytics, payments and embedded media) with its purpose and how long it lasts, and shows visitors how to manage them in their browser. Check the table against the tools your site really uses, such as your analytics, payment provider and video host, add or remove rows to match, and have it reviewed by an adviser before you publish.

Like most websites, Harborview Members Club uses cookies. This page explains which ones we use, why we use them and how you can control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages and visits, such as the fact that you are signed in. Some are set by us, and some are set by the services we use, such as our payment provider.

You are in control

Only essential cookies are set before you make a choice. You can accept or decline the others when you first visit, and change your mind at any time with the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

How to manage cookies

You can change your choices with the cookie settings link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies
  • Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data

If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the members area.

Changes to this policy

When we add a new service that sets cookies, we update the table above and the date at the top of this page.

Questions

If you have a question about cookies or your privacy, email hello@example.com. Our privacy policy explains more about how we look after your information.

This policy is a starting point, not legal advice. Check the table against the cookies your site actually sets, and ask an adviser to review it before you publish.
