Student showcase gallery

A student showcase for online schools and course creators whose students make something they can photograph: paintings, crafts, photos or designs. It opens with a short introduction and a few numbers, then a large gallery of student work with names and captions, a progress story comparing a first and final piece, student quotes and a closing invitation to enroll. The sample shows watercolor paintings from beginner students. Replace the pictures with real student work, used with permission, and update the captions and quotes.

Shown with sample content for Brushwork Academy. Add it to your site from Content > Page Library in your Control Panel, then make it your own.

Every painting on this page was made by a Brushwork Academy student, most of whom had never held a watercolor brush before they enrolled. We share them with permission, and with a lot of pride.

A student story

Eight weeks of progress

Robert T. shared his paintings from the first and last weeks of the course.

Week 1: First washes

"My first sky looked like a bruise. I nearly quit. Maya's video on water control was the turning point, because I finally understood I was using far too little water."

Week 8: Into the pines

"Layering the trees from light to dark made it click. This one is framed in my office now, and two friends have asked me to paint one for them."

What students say

Seeing other beginners' paintings in the community was what kept me going. Everyone starts somewhere.

AAnita SharmaColumbus, OH

At 71 I did not expect to learn something new so quickly. Now I paint every morning before breakfast.

HHarold BrooksBangor, ME

The feedback on my module paintings was kind and specific. I improved more in two months than in two years alone.
