Rob Kessler is the founder and editor of The Dividend Ledger, an independent investment research newsletter for long-term dividend investors. Before starting the newsletter in 2019, Rob spent 17 years as an equity analyst at two Chicago investment firms, covering consumer staples and utilities for institutional clients. He holds the CFA charter and an MBA from a Midwestern business school. Rob started The Dividend Ledger to make institutional-quality research available to individual investors, without advertising or conflicts of interest. His payout-safety scoring method is used by thousands of readers to check the dividends they depend on. He has been quoted on income investing, dividend safety and retirement portfolios in national business media. Rob lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
