Course track sales page

A sales page for an online course track, bootcamp or certification program aimed at people changing careers. It opens with the promise and the next start date, proves it with graduate outcomes, lays out the curriculum unit by unit in an accordion, shows what a typical week looks like, introduces the lead instructor and ends with plans and the questions career changers always ask. Replace the units and outcomes with your own, keep the numbers honest and current, and your own plans appear in the pricing section.

The curriculum

Six units, one portfolio

Each unit ends with a project you build, deploy and present at a live code review. By the end you'll have five real projects online and a capstone app built with a team.

  • About 12 hours a week
  • 36 weeks, with two catch-up weeks
  • 5 portfolio projects and a capstone
Unit 1: The web from scratch (weeks 1 to 5)

How the web works, semantic HTML, accessibility basics, the command line and Git. Project: a multi-page site for a real local business or nonprofit.

Unit 2: CSS that holds up (weeks 6 to 10)

Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, custom properties and a simple design system. Project: rebuild a complex landing page from a design file, pixel for pixel.

Unit 3: JavaScript fundamentals (weeks 11 to 17)

Variables, functions, arrays and objects, the DOM, events and debugging in the browser. Project: an interactive budgeting tool that saves to local storage.

Unit 4: Working with data (weeks 18 to 23)

Fetching from APIs, promises and async code, error handling and testing your own code. Project: a weather and air quality dashboard using a public API.

Unit 5: React (weeks 24 to 30)

Components, props and state, hooks, routing and forms, with an introduction to TypeScript. Project: a job application tracker with search and filters.

Unit 6: Capstone and job search (weeks 31 to 36)

Build a production app in a team of four with code review, pull requests and a demo day for hiring partners. Alongside it: your resume, portfolio and interview practice.

What a typical week looks like

Designed for people with jobs, kids and lives. Everything live is recorded.

Lessons, any time

Short video lessons and reading, about 4 hours. Watch on your lunch break or after bedtime.

Build, at your pace

Exercises and your unit project, about 6 hours, with instant feedback from automated checks.

Live code review

Tuesdays at 6 pm Pacific. Sam or a mentor reviews student code on screen, line by line. 90 minutes.

Study group

Your pod of six meets weekly on a time you choose. Stuck? The community answers in minutes.

A student watching a live code review from home

I was a pharmacy tech with two kids and no tech background. The live code reviews were where it clicked: seeing my mistakes fixed in front of 80 people was humbling, and it worked. I started as a junior developer at a health startup last May.

Sam Okafor

Meet your lead instructor

Sam taught high school chemistry for six years before teaching himself to code at night. He went on to spend eight years as a front-end engineer and team lead at two Seattle software companies, and he still remembers how confusing his first week of JavaScript was.

He started Codecraft Academy in 2021 to give career changers what he didn't have: a clear path, honest feedback and people in their corner. Sam leads every Tuesday code review and reads every capstone himself.

  • Former teacher, now 14 years in software
  • Has reviewed more than 9,000 student projects
  • Hiring manager for 30 developers across his career

Questions career changers ask

Do I need any coding experience?

No. Most students start from zero. You'll need to be comfortable using a computer, and we recommend trying our free HTML mini-course first to see if you enjoy it.

What computer do I need?

Any Mac, Windows or Linux laptop from the last five years with 8 GB of memory. Everything we use is free software.

What if I fall behind?

There are two catch-up weeks built in, and you can pause once for up to eight weeks and rejoin the next cohort at the same point.

Will I really get a job?

We can't promise one, and you should be wary of anyone who does. We can show you exactly what happened to our last graduating class, and we'll support your search for as long as it takes on the Track + Career plan.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. If the track isn't right for you, tell us within 21 days of the start date for a full refund. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time.

Do you only teach people in Seattle?

No. The track is fully online. Live sessions are on Pacific time and recorded, and students join from 44 states.

Your new career can start in April

The spring cohort is capped at 120 students so every code review gets real attention.
