New to MemberGate version 7 is a member profile feature. It allows your site's users to post profile information about themselves, submit photos, create mini-blog posts, connect with friends and leave notes for each other. It is designed to increase the social networking and 'stickiness' factor of your membership site.

Review and Ratings

Encourage Interaction

The new review and rating module allows members of your site to leave comments as well as rate articles on your site. You have the option of including them on the content pages that you wish. Other members can comment on reviews that were left, report any inappropriate ones or leave their own.

New Forum Option

Make your forum even more active!

The new forum layout is modeled after the popular phpBB and vBulletin forum layouts. It allows your members have avatar photos with each post as well as recognized for the number of forum posts and how long they have been posting. There are options to lock discussion threads or make them 'sticky' so that they remain at the top of the forum.

Recovering Declined Transactions

The recurring billing module now allows multiple retries of declined transactions. All automatically. Repeated attempts of declined transaction occur 7 and 21 days after the first failure. Custom failure messages can be set as well. Combine that with an algorithm to compensate for credit cards with past expiration dates... The result is you recover more members that previously would have been lost due to a credit card failure.

Another Member Retention Tool

'Soon to Expire' Warnings

Now when a member logs in, their credit card status is checked. If it is within 60 days of expiring,
a configurable pop up message will come up. They are provided a link to the page to update the
information for themselves. Another billing issue avoided!

Promotional Codes Option

Useful for Promotions or Ad Tracking

Easily create promotional codes for promotions or ad tracking. The customer enters the correct code and then are redirected to the special offer page that you specify.

Social Bookmarks

Get your site noticed

Its easy to add "social bookmarking tags" to your site's pages now. With one click a reader can help spread the word about what they are finding useful on your site. You get the most popular tags preloaded or its very easy to add new ones through the control panel.

YouTube Videos

Play video directly in your forums

Encourage your members to share. You now have the ability to paste Youtube links to embed the
video player in the forum. Just paste the link and the video player appears.

Adjustable Affiliate Cookie lengths

You choose

You can now determine how long affiliate cookies from your site will remain active. It is
configurable through the control panel.

The New Video Standard is Supported

MP4 (MPEG4) is quickly becoming a standard for online videos. They are small and very clear. Now
you can upload them via the Membergate control panel to be shown through our build in video player
