Yes, you can hide pages on your site and not have them show on the site map or in any search results.
1. Under 'Content choose 'Edit Content'
2.Choose the page to edit
3. From the first drop down box Select "Work Pages" as the department
4. Under Page Status - Select Inactive
5. Click Apply Changes to This Page
